About Talk Conexus

I don't think people always need answers.

Whether I'm working with individuals, organisations, talking to friends or family, my core belief is the same:

People rarely need someone to tell them what to do. They often need space to work things out.

I listen carefully.

I ask thoughtful questions.

I share different perspectives.

I help you notice things that might otherwise be missed.

Sometimes I stay quiet.

And I trust that people are capable of finding their own way when they have the right space to think.

That's really the heart of Talk Conexus.

How I Work

Life rarely comes in neat boxes.

Work and life have a habit of influencing each other, and most of us are trying to navigate both while keeping everything moving.

Sometimes we get stuck. Sometimes we go round and round the same thoughts. Sometimes we know something isn't quite right but can't see what to do about it.

I create calm, thoughtful conversations where there's time to slow things down, hear yourself think and make sense of what's actually going on.

I might notice a pattern, ask a question you hadn't considered, or offer an observation about something I've heard.

But I won't arrive with the answer.

The thinking belongs to you.

My role is to help create the conditions for you to notice, explore and work out what comes next.

My Background

I've always been interested in people and how we navigate the realities of work and life. Not because I have all the answers, but because I've learnt that things are rarely as straightforward as we'd like them to be.

Life changes. Work changes. Relationships change. Sometimes we're navigating things we expected. Sometimes we're not.

Over the years I've worked across education, NHS secondary mental health services, the third sector and office management, as well as running my own business. Different roles and different settings, but with a common thread: working alongside people as they navigate challenges, change and the realities of everyday life.

My experience has taught me that the way we think, feel and behave in one area of life has a habit of showing up somewhere else. Taking the time to explore those connections can sometimes give us more choice than we first realised.

I'm also a qualified teacher and currently qualifying as an ILM Level 5 coach.

A Little bit about me behind Talk Conexus

Outside of work, you'll usually find me with my horse, walking, reading a book or enjoying a cup of tea with the people I love.

I’m based in the beautiful Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, so given my outdoor activities, wellies, mud and hay are a permanent fixture in my life.

I'm naturally inquisitive. I notice things. I ask questions. I probably think about things more than is strictly necessary.

I've come to realise that this is actually part of what I bring to my work.

I'm interested in what sits underneath the obvious problem. The connections we haven't noticed. The assumptions we make. The things we tell ourselves. And, most importantly, what becomes possible when we see something differently.

I don't believe you have to have it all figured out.

You just need somewhere to start.

And every conversation starts somewhere.
